M/F, dragons/vampires, erotic paranormal romance
Black dragon Eden Antaeus is a bad girl. Or so her brother Sean would have her believe. When Sean tells Eden she’s the Queen of Kink, someone who can’t get off on normal sex, Eden runs straight to the vampire club Carpe Noctem to find someone to have vanilla sex with. What Eden finds is Colin Granville, her brother Declan’s new brother in law. Desire burns hot between them despite the lack of surnames and after one night together, they both want more. Getting past the discovery that their siblings are married, Colin teaches Eden that she’s not the Queen of Kink and Eden finds a love, and a life, she never expected to have.
“Ms. Valentine has a really great series with Tales of the Darkworld and I for one can’t wait for her next installment. This one is very hot ~ Eden is a very naughty girl and Colin sure helps her be naughtier in all ways he can. One thing I really love about this novel is that the sex only adds to the emotional intensity of the novel. I do not feel like it was put in there just to be a romance but has a true place in the story itself. I really appreciate that. When you want a novel that is steamy intense and a fun read pick up Hot Water you will have a wonderful ride ahead of you.”
“I enjoyed Hot Water even more than I did the first book. Lex Valentine put so much more feeling into this book, and I loved every minute of it… If you are looking for an erotic paranormal romance story that is emotionally and sexually charged, then I highly recommend Hot Water to be added to your reading list.”
“Lex Valentine is an amazing and extremely talented writer. She has 3 books out so far and each one is better than the last. Hot sex and mind blowing characters that will keep you on your toes from start to finish. If you have not read any of her books yet, then you really better get a move on or you just might find yourself in Hot Water.”
“There are forces at work behind this series that I’m dying to uncover. The heads of both the Antaeus and Granville families plus an outside party are playing matchmaker for the rest of the family. But why? Why would they go to these measures? There has to be more to it that just ensuring their family’s happiness, and I am determined to figure it out. Luckily, Lex Valentine is an amazing author who incorporates just the right amount of sex in her love stories, so my investigation will be a pleasant one.”
“… if a plot, good world-building, great characters, and emotions are present, a reader can overlook the nit-picks. Due to Hot Water being full of emotion and layers (where the words say much more than they actually say and create several different images in the mind), and Ms. Valentine being able to tap into the concept of real true love, which then creates a deeper reading experience, you can ignore the issues mentioned. I can only say that if Ms. Valentine continues to grow in her craft…imagine what her future books will be like. The emotions in Hot Water wrung me out—in a good way—and the touching scenes, thoughts, and actions in this book will linger for some time to come.”
“Ms. Valentine commented on my review of the first book in this series that she thought Hot Water was better than it and I was hard pressed to believe it, until I started reading. I would have to say this is my favorite book my her so far and I just fell in love with Colin and Eden. I held my breath waiting for these two lovers, who initially only know each other’s first names, to find out who the other really is and the reaction of each did not disappoint me. Colin definitely knows how to please a lady and makes me want to say Vanilla PLEASE!
I was very intrigued by the underlying plot of who orchestrated the initial meeting of these two. I certainly hope that there are more books in this series and that Mr. Alfred Stone will be the subject of at least one of them.”
“Lex Valentine delves right in and keeps the reader glued to the pages even as some wonderful secondary characters had me laughing with their quips. I am hoping some of the secondary characters come back in future stories.”
ParaNormal Romance – “This second book of the Darkworld series is packed with more emotion than the first, making it an even more enjoyable read.”
